Doodle-A-Diamond

My wonderful boyfriend, Jon, of four years recently proposed (!!!) and it's ALL I can think about! I have become obsessed with looking at venues, drooling over dresses and figuring out colors and theme. Have you been there before?? There's so much to figure out and do but we're very excited to go on this journey together.  As excited as I am about the journey, let's be real, I have become most obsessed with my ring 😍 It's just so sparkly and beautiful!! Wanna see it?!

Jon did damn good, don't ya think?? I've got my mind on my diamond and my diamond on my mind, ha!! I have been doodling diamonds all over my notes so, I thought it would be fun to teach you all how to easily doodle diamonds. Have fun with it and allow yourself to feel like a kid again as you doodle in your notebook :) Let's get to it!!

Step 1

This first step is SO easy...draw a straight line. Or a crooked line like me ;) it's all good because perfection is overrated!

Step 2

This step is just as easy...turn your line into a triangle! Any shape or size will do, all diamonds are beautiful.

Step 3

Things are starting to get serious...draw a short, angled line from each corner. Don't worry too much about the length or angle, it doesn't matter!

Step 3

Things get wild in this step...connect the two angled lines with a simple line. Wild, I know!

Step 4

This step may look tricky, but it's not...draw a line from each corner to the point of the diamond. Don't be scared, just go for it!

Step 5

You're so so close...draw a line from each intersection point and have them meet in the center of the top line. Woah, you just drew a diamond!

Step 6

Time to make it sparkle...add fun little lines around the diamond for the sparkle. Dang girl, your diamond is blinding me!

You did it, girl!!! Wasn't that easy?? Go hog wild and try drawing different shapes and sizes. Share your doodles with me and the Splattered Lines community on social media with the hashtag #splatteredlinesdoodles :)
